was written on ancient maps
to warn sailors that beyond these
known waters was the unknown or the mystery
YOGA IS
by MichaL Hall
(note: you read this saying “yoga is”
at the beginning of each line)
union: body, mind & spirit
shedding layer after layer
a way of life
being preset to the NOW
neither good or bad
remembering the baby breath (abdominal)
learning from great teachers: body, mind & breath
finding strength within the stillness
duality: sun/moon stretch/release
doing/undoing inbreath/outbreath
yin/yang standup/sitdown
movement/nonmovement
all in the breath (where is your breath?)
balance/focus/concentration
letting go
calming the mind
flowing wih the UNIVERSE
feeling the echo of the asana
growing taller as u grow older
an Eastern philosophy
hard work not hard work
not real; part of the grand
illusion
not running away
for all warm bodies, or cool
ooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
transformation
noncompetetive
an internal art
integration
the whole
awareness
fun
sensing
different
a living mudra
for beginners only
to see with new eyes e v e r y t i m e
everything & n o t h i n g
no judgment
listening with ears, eyes & heart
a practice to awaken the whole of our being
thinking u know yoga, only to discover “not knowing”
one & the same
movement thru the relative & absolute realms of possibility
wringing the physical world out of the physical body
releasing attachments again & again
awareness of thought: lost in thought: no thought
the pendulum swinging into being from doing
coming home
softening the hold
where am I?================I am here………………………….
noticing the rubyred slippers on your feet for the 1st time
to act as opposed to react
before lunch, before supper, before breakfast
creating the empty bowl
knowing that even the slightest shift affects the whole
recognizing the difference in order to make a difference
expressed in a sigh
seeing from the inside out
visible s o m e t i m e s
a moving meditation
gratitude for the parts as whole
knowing that energy is only a breath away
remembering
backwards, twisted & upsidedown
YOGA is to be CONTINUED………………………………………………
