In 2001 Michal’s journey took a wonderful leap forward when she met Dr. Harvey Zarren, a Boston cardiologist whose focus is on the prevention of heart disease by education on nutrition and the value of human relations in healing. Michal and Harvey met at the 1st Conference for merging Cardiology Practice and Complementary Therapies in Santa Barbara, CA.
The next year Dr. Zarren invited Michal to join him in the U.K. to co-teach the Heart of Wellness Course. This course teaches tools for Wellness, which include energy work, yoga, breathing, meditation, the science of nutrition ,tai chi, dreammapping and others. These 2 Healers have been merging their talents and experiences of Western and Eastern traditions for over 10 years now in the U.S. and internationally.
Currently Dr. Zarren is active in inviting caregivers such as physicians, nurses, teachers and clergy to explore and facilitate their own wellness and to remember the precious nature of their work in service to others. Dr. Zarren works to create a more humane environment of health care for both providers and recipients of care. Dr. Zarren speaks and presents workshops around the United States and internationally.
When asked how it is to teach with Michal,
Dr. Zarren says, “it’s like being in a canoe with Lewis and Clark – not knowing where you are going but sure you will get there.”
